We’re thrilled to share that MDL has come on board as a key sponsor of Culter Pipebands this season, helping us take our music further than ever before!
Thanks to their generous support, our bands — Culter and District (Grade 4A) and 47th Culter Boys Brigade (Novice Juvenile) — were able to travel, compete, and represent our community with pride across Scotland. Their backing has helped cover essential costs like transport, equipment, and competition fees, making a real difference to our players and supporters.
As a registered Scottish charity (SC052960), we rely on the support of local businesses and individuals to keep the tradition of Scottish piping and drumming alive. MDL’s commitment to community and culture has helped us do just that.

Fundraising is an ongoing effort so we would welcome additional sponsors to help support our active, community-based pipe band.
To put the financial requirement of running a band into context, we spend around £10k-£15k per year on travel, accommodation and equipment for our members to compete in RSPBA competitions and other events. All our committee members are volunteers who give up their free time to make sure the band runs smoothly so any donation or sponsorship money would go directly towards the running of the band.
Sponsorship can include any combination of the following and any other requests you may have:
· Rebrand with the company name as part of the band’s name, e.g., “Company name, Culter and District”
· Company logo on equipment such as drums or bagpipe bag covers which will be seen by all audiences at our performances.
· Company logo to be displayed on all band social media platforms – 800+ followers on Facebook, 250+ followers on Instagram and counting.
· Provision of a piper, mini band or full band for any company engagements within the City of Aberdeen as long as one month’s notice is provided – Corporate events, company Christmas party, charity events, etc.
